A massive mixed-use development project in Middletown is moving forward after securing key financing approvals, with construction on its centerpiece event center potentially beginning later this year.
The $200 million project, Renaissance Pointe, broke ground in 2024 and has continued to gain momentum over the past year. The project – located in Warren County at the southeast corner of state Route 122 and Union Road – is expected to create more than 660 full-time jobs and attract over 425,000 visitors with roughly $61 million in revenue during its first year of operation, according to Middletown city documents.

“The arena and event space at Renaissance Pointe is the cornerstone of this project and will drive visitors from across the region into our city,” Ashley Combs, Middletown city manager, said in a news release. “Every step forward in this development solidifies Middletown as a destination city. This is the type of project that can drive new life and business into Middletown.”
