400 jobs coming to West Chester Twp. through $750M Resilience-Lilly expansion

Investment will expand production of Lilly's KwikPen device and bring Resilience's Ohio workforce to about 1,400.

A $750 million expansion by Resilience and Eli Lilly and Company is expected to create more than 400 new jobs in West Chester Twp., further growing the region’s role in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

The investment will expand production of Lilly’s KwikPen injectable device at Resilience’s West Chester campus, increasing domestic manufacturing capacity for treatments used to manage diabetes and obesity.

Resilience is a contract development and manufacturing organization that produces medicines and drug delivery products for pharmaceutical companies. The company focuses on manufacturing complex therapies and expanding U.S.-based production capacity for critical medicines.

The project will bring Resilience’s total Ohio workforce to about 1,400 employees. Site preparation is underway, and full operations are expected to begin in 2027.

“Our investment reflects our long-term commitment to building one of the largest and most advanced sterile injectable and device assembly and packaging operations in the United States, and demonstrates how trusted partnerships, operational excellence and disciplined execution can strengthen America’s medicine supply,” said William S. Marth, president and chief executive officer of Resilience.

Lilly officials said the announcement builds on a partnership that began in 2023.
