One of the region’s largest universities has started construction on its new and expanded $13 million multiuse sports fields.
Miami University is upgrading Millett Field and Chestnut Field this summer to be complete before fall semester begins. The college’s Millett Field will be expanded to include a new synthetic turf field for intramural soccer and flag football, a walking path, exercise stations, a dog park and separate service dog park, pickleball courts, tennis courts and basketball courts. The area surrounds Miami’s Millett Hall basketball and volleyball arena and student athlete development center, with two existing parking lots and an RV parking lot next to the field.
