80 Acres Farms is back at it again.
The indoor vertical farming startup, based in Hamilton, has merged with Soli Organic, a 35-year-old Virginia company that’s considered one of the largest organic herb growers in the nation.
The deal is a key win for the Cincinnati region. The combined company – which will boast a total headcount of 1,400, given Soli’s workforce of 1,000 nationally – will operate under the 80 Acres name and remain headquartered in Hamilton. Mike Zelkind, CEO of 80 Acres Farms, also will continue in his role.
