An upstate New York manufacturer with ties to the data center and semiconductor sectors plans to create hundreds of jobs in Greater Cincinnati.
Arcade, N.Y.-based Steel & O’Brien Manufacturing Inc. is putting the project in West Chester Township, though the exact location remains unknown. The company is expected to disclose more information about the project in the coming days.
The known scope is for 230 new full-time-equivalent employees generating $13.3 million in new annual payroll, according to a media release from the Ohio Department of Development. Steel & O’Brien makes sanitary stainless-steel fittings, valves, pumps, data cooling components and more.
Its products, some of which it custom machines and fabricates, meet exacting industry standards in the pharmaceutical, biomedical and semiconductor manufacturing sectors. In the data center space, the company provides components for liquid-based cooling systems it touts as superior to conventional air-conditioned cooling.
