An international manufacturer with its Americas headquarters in Butler County is carrying out its second expansion project in the last five years, with plans to create dozens of new high-paying jobs in the process.
Salvagnini America, a subsidiary of Italian manufacturing giant the Salvagnini Group, recently began the $6 million project to transform and improve its headquarters, located on Bicentennial Court at the southern edge of the city of Hamilton.
The company expects to create at least 28 new jobs at $2.8 million in payroll, for an average annual salary of $100,000.
The Ohio Tax Credit Authority at its Dec. 12 meeting approved a seven-year, 1.338% Job Creation Tax Credit for the hiring effort. The anticipated total value of the performance-based tax credit if all job-creation thresholds are met is $230,000, according to an Ohio Department of Development spokesperson.
JobsOhio and REDI Cincinnati are providing additional incentives for the expansion project that will be made public in the coming months once the agreement is finalized.
