Founded in 2004 by the Butler County Board of Commissioners as the Butler County Port Authority, what is now known as BCFA is an independent unit of government operating as an Ohio port authority. This structure gives us some powerful tools at our disposal.

Sure, "port authority" might make you think of water and air transport, and that's part of it. However, in Ohio, port authorities also have the power to own property, finance major development projects, and partner with private enterprises to get things done.
