Miami University is seeking to transform its regional campuses in Middletown and Hamilton by establishing a polytechnic model.
The polytechnic campus, which was first announced April 2 during President Gregory Crawford’s spring update, will be a model implemented at its regional campuses to work toward meeting existing and emerging workforce needs in Southwest Ohio.
Ande Durojaiye, Miami Regionals vice president and its dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Applied Science, said that 90% of Miami’s regional campus graduates stay in the Tri-State, so the university is looking to ensure they are offering programs that meet the region’s needs.
