Booker T. Washington Center launches $1.7M expansion, renovation

The Booker T. Washington Center on South Front Street in Hamilton will undergo a $1.7 million expansion and renovation that will begin in the next few weeks and wrap up either by the end of the year or the start of 2026.
Hamilton city and community leaders, officials with the Great Miami Valley YMCA and Butler County commissioners participated in a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday morning, April 10, 2025, at the center.
The space will provide more space and programming “for generations to come” when its renovation and expansion is complete, said the Y’s CEO.
