Middletown purchased the 32-acre Towne Mall site for 10 million dollars. The city of Middletown could partner with a private developer on the redevelopment of its Towne Mall site.
The city on February 19 issued a request for qualifications, or RFQ, seeking a possible partnership on redevelopment of the 32-acre site in the municipality’s East End neighborhood.
The purpose of the RFQ is to find a development entity to create “a signature redevelopment effort” through a public-private partnership with the city, according to a media release.
