About
Welcome to the Butler County Finance Authority (BCFA), an independent unit of government established in 2004 by the Butler County Board of Commissioners as an Ohio port authority. Ohio port authorities have the unique capability to conduct traditional transportation activities involving water, air, and other means, as well as own property and provide financing for local economic development initiatives.
Our mission is defined by Ohio law to encompass activities that enhance, foster, aid, provide, or promote transportation, economic development, housing, recreation, education, governmental operations, culture, or research within our jurisdiction. Additionally, we are authorized to engage in activities under Sections 13 and 16 of Article VIII of the Ohio Constitution, which permit us to aid private enterprises in promoting economic development and housing in Ohio. We are dedicated to driving progress through job creation, capital investment, and innovation in Butler County through our diverse range of programs and initiatives.
